A Short History of Ingeni
The company was established in 2004 by Jonathan and Joanne Davis to offer specialist consultancy services to the retail motor trade. Jonathan's backgound was in business-to-business sales, finance and insurance, while Joanne was a human resources and training specialist, working in the financial services industry.
They saw there was a gap in the market for top-quality compliance training aimed specifically at the UK's motor dealers. Together they used their professional experience and industry knowledge to develop a comprehensive training program for retail motor dealerships, in line with FCA regulations.
This training system ultimately became the Ingeni Online Training Academy, launched in 2006. Compliance training remains the cornerstone of Ingeni's business, and the award-winning academy is still a benchmark for compliance training in the motor trade.
AR Network and Insurance Products
Outside investment allowed Ingeni to expand their services, setting up an AR network in 2010 and launching a range of specialist automotive add-on products, including GAP, Minor Damage Insurance, Alloy Wheel Insurance, Complete Wheel Insurance and Warranties
Investment brings rewards
In 2011 Ingeni rolled their bespoke Policy Manager system to their dealer network, delivering a joined-up F&I process that also provided the compliance evidence the FCA demands
In 2018 long serving team member Spencer Estall became Audit Director, with Becki Martin joining the board in 2021 as Administration Director
In 2022 Ingeni became members of the Association of Professional Compliance Consultants, and were approved by the Finance Leasing Association as providing SAF equivalent training.
In 2023 we launched the Ingeni Transaction Manager to the client base - it won Highly Commended at the Motor Trader Awards.
